Premium Oceanfront Rooms: Cabana Rooms

Mary P. from Guest Review says:
My husband and I have been coming to the K & P and staying in a cabana room since the Historic Building was all there was. LOVE it! It's such a relaxing, therapeutic setting, right on the shoreline where you can leave the door open at night and hear the surf, that I don't want to leave the room when I get there. Highly recommended!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely 4 night/3 day stay at the King and Prince. We stayed in a Cabana Room in the Historic Building. I would highly recommend these accomodations as they were just wonderful. Our room included a king size bed, double sink in the bathroom, wonderful, thick towels and top notch soaps, shampoos, etc. There was also a really nice sitting area in the room which was separated by a railing and a few steps down. There were two flat screen tvs and free wireless internet. The best part of the room was the little covered porch with chairs and table which overlooked the beach. The beach was maybe 50 feet from our room. It was awesome to open the curtain and have the water right there.

All the good reviews that I have read about this property are true. The friendliness of the staff seems genuine. I have never seen such good customer service as I experienced poolside. We stayed in the historic section; our room with its French doors opened to face the Atlantic. Truly awesome to hear the surf from inside your room. The outdoor swings just a few feet further beckon you to sit and enjoy the experience. We WILL return!!!

My husband and I decided to go to St. Simons Island for a getaway to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary at the King & Prince. We had stayed there twice before, several years ago, with our two kids during winter break from school. We checked in on Easter Sunday, and Shannon at the front desk asked if we were celebrating anything special, and gave us dinner recommendations and arranged to have a bottle of champagne delivered to our room for our anniversary. We stayed in a Cabana room, which has a sitting area beyond the bedroom and French doors leading to a small but private patio overlooking the yard and ocean. There are also swings beyond the patio, where we sat watching the sunset while enjoying the champagne! The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious, and the bedding was luxurious and comfortable. We loved the Historic Building, where the Cabana rooms are located - feels like you're staying in someone's wonderful old home. There are sitting areas with comfortable seating and fireplaces just inside the entrance to this building where you can relax, and a secluded patio shaded by citrus trees. We enjoyed wandering through these areas and down the long hallways, admiring the beautiful artwork, furnishings and carpets, and the architectural details. The weather was perfect during our stay, and we spent an afternoon on chaise lounges overlooking the beach at the beautiful pool area, drinking Pina Coladas from the bar. We were there Sunday-Tuesday, so the weekend crowds had left and it was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely return to St. Simons Island and the K&P again - but for a longer stay. Two days was not enough time to enjoy all the resort and the island have to offer.

This was our first visit to St. Simon's Island, GA. We stayed at the King and Prince after Christmas through New Years and was delightfully charmed by this National Historical Hotel. We stayed on the beach in a Cabana room. These rooms are perfect to sit out on your private patio or on the near by swings and have your morning coffee relaxing by the ocean. The grounds were immaculately kept and the hotel was nicely decorated for the holiday season. The architecture of this resort is very impressive and the stain glassed windows are so beautiful. Housekeeping room service was excellent and abided by our requests.

Beautiful Resort. Highly Recommend. My husband and I spent 2 nights and 3 days at The King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort and it was a wonderful experience. We stayed in one of the Cabana rooms. The Cabana rooms face directly to the ocean. There is a walkway out.

We love the King and Prince and being in a Cabana room (is that the term? Historic Building, ground floor with beachfront patio) was really great for our stay!

The Cabana was wonderful even though it rained three of the four days we were there. Beautiful view of the Ocean, fun swings and wonderful staff made the four days fly by too quickly. The food that our large group was served was outstanding. Best Georgia Fried Shrimp I've EVER eaten. We were pleased that so many shopping areas were nearby. My wife and I can't wait to come back.

A great place to stay with outstanding guest relations and services.  Our Cabana Rom was wonderful with a beautiful view of the ocean.  This is our 15th time to visit the King and Prince and we will return again.
