The lady at the desk suggested that we eat brunch at the King and the Prince. One of the best suggestions ever! Amazing meal, one of the best brunches I have ever had! Fried chicken, Sunday roast, mac and cheese (that my husband said was the best he has ever had) meatloaf, ham and then all the wonderful Southern side dishes! Plus the eggs, bacon, etc. Also had a dessert buffet -- the Pecan Bread Pudding was a religious experience. Magnificant shrimp and grits -- just go -- you won't believe how great the food is!

The King And Prince is an absolutely marvelous place to relax and enjoy as well as have business meetings. The staff is friendly, courteous and have the guests comfort and pleasure in mind at all times. The restaurant is top drawer, the servers are always pleasant, especially our favorite, Jackie. On Fridays there is a Seafood Buffet that is to die for. You name it, oysters, shrimp, crab, fish, beef, pasta, the finest Brunswick stew along with sumptuous desserts. I could write volumes about it but I don't think there's enough room.
You have the best buffet in the USA. The Friday night sea food buffet will never be forgotten. It is worth a drive from Chattanooga just to eat there. :- ) Beautiful and comfortable ambiance.....
I have stayed here several times during the past several years during training here and at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). It is a short and quick drive to FLETC with no problems. I never ate breakfast there, just the Friday night seafood buffet.. The hotel is a 5 Star place and the food for the Friday buffet is the best I've ever had anywhere. That's where I'm going for sure.
I cannot express in words the most amazing vacation we had here at the King and Prince. Everything from customer service, to the FABULOUS seafood buffet was amazing!! The easy access to bike rentals, and the tennis courts were amazing!! The beach was right out our front door!! I would highly recommend this hotel and resort to everyone!! I cannot wait to get back here again!!
It was beautiful-peaceful and relaxing. Staff was outstanding. The restaurant was exceptional along with the hosts and servers.
I just loved being there, the room, the entire hotel, the possibility to chose between a large breakfast buffet or just a cup of coffee in the Bistro, the view from my room and from the restaurant, the terrace close to the ocean in first floor rooms ... Gorgeous.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the King and Prince. Everything was perfect. We dined in the restaurant at the hotel and it was delicious and the service was excellent. We played golf, went shopping downtown, rode the trolley and just enjoyed sightseeing on this beautiful island. Love it all and want to come back to visit soon.
Twenty nine years ago my husband and I stood in front of this motel and hoped that one day we would be able to afford to stay there. Today we still could not afford it if not for the special offered that weekend for the oceanfront rooms. By taking advantage of the special we enjoyed two nights complete with some of the best seafood I have eaten. I especially loved the Chili Lime Crab Salad. We expected the resort to be clean and beautiful considering the regular price of the rooms but the cleanliness far exceeded our expectations.
I am currently undergoing chemotherapy. We were in St. Simon's for a wedding, and I felt I needed to rest during the day. Sent the guys, my husband and son, to play golf. It was wonderful to kick back, watch old westerns on the great tv, while relaxing in the incredibly comfortable bed. The housekeeper was so pleasant, and the room service was incredible. Ordered a quesadilla and loved every mouth full. It came hot and delicious. It was a great day, and I was ready to enjoy the wedding. My husband even got me a virgin pina colada, which we enjoyed on the balcony. Wonderful! We will be back for sure! Thanks so much for making our stay so special!
A very friendly welcoming place to spend a couple of nights. All personnel were very well trained, accommodating and helpful (all done with a smile). Everything was handled with efficiency and attention to every detail was given. Food was delicious and the view was wonderful while dining. Thanks for doing such an outstanding job to make the stay so pleasurable.
Anniversary/birthday weekend, room was beautiful and very clean. Request for top floor and king bed was fulfilled. Brunch was outstanding loved it loved it loved it

We have had two meals here in two days. Both were excellent. Tonight “Q” was attentive and friendly. Great job!
