When we played the course this past weekend I have to tell you it was in the best shape we have ever seen it. The fairways were plush and green, and the green held every shot and every putt rolled smooth and true. It was truly a pleasure to play and I want you to pass along our thanks to the maintenance crew and our superintendent for their hard work. Again, the course was immaculate condition and most enjoyable to play.
The course is in the best shape I've ever seen it and my wife and I have been playing it for years. In fact we have played several of the area courses during this June 2011 visit and Hampton's greens and fairways are the best in the area. Congratulations to you and your staff for a job well done.
I just wanted to thank you and your staff again for a great day at the golf course. The course was in excellent condition and we had some beautiful weather, but what really made the day work was you and your staff. We brought 62 golfers to play, changed the pairings countless numbers of times and everything was handled to perfection. Every person I met welcomed us and appreciated our group being there. As I mentioned on Thursday, we’ve held our tournament for several years and in several locations and you guys do it better than anyone. You should be very proud of the group of people you have working there and thanks again!
Perhaps the best course in the region, outside of the private tracks at Sea Island, is the King and Prince Beach Golf Resort ($79-$115; 912-634-0255, kingandprince.com). Formerly known as the Hampton Club, this sporty 6,462-yard, par-72 course was renovated by Billy Fuller in 2009 and features a handful of memorable holes, notably the 561-yard, par-5 3rd, which has marsh down the entire left side and a lake on the right side near the green and the 391-yard par-4 13th, which hopscotches the marsh via islands of turf.

“Best spot on Coastal Ga.” My experience with the King and Prince was one of the best vacations I ever had. I am the Golf Travel Guru, so I have stayed at some of the top resorts in the USA. I would have to say my trip to St. Simons Island was a top ten for myself, which means you must come to the King and Prince and stay. So much to do and see there. The Staff was the best ever. The Food and their Seafood Buffet has to be one of the best meals my wife and I had ever eaten!! Bring yourself or your family and enjoy The King & Prince Golf and Beach Resort
