St Simons Island Points of Interest:

The Village – This central gathering place at the Island's southern end (one mile from the Resort), includes restaurants, boutiques, a historic lighthouse (you can climb to the top!), coastal history museum, fishing pier, waterfront playground, miniature golf, picnic area and views of St. Simons Sound. You'll also find a library and a Visitor Center here.

Fort Frederica - This National Monument is where Gen. James Oglethorpe established Georgia's first military outpost in 1736. Museum, tours and fort ruins are among the attractions.

Christ Church - This lovely and historic church was built in 1886 and is the spot where John Wesley, the father of Methodism, first preached in colonial America.

St. Simons Island Lighthouse and The Coastal Maritime Museum – One of the most beautiful Lighthouses anywhere in the South, the St. Simons lighthouse stands like a jewel on the beach and is certainly worth visiting. The keepers’ house also has a book and gift shop. Located in the Village.

Fun Things To Do

Bike Trails - A paved network of winding bike paths (ideal for walking and jogging, too) is a great way to get to most anywhere on St. Simons Island. Bike rentals are available at the Resort and elsewhere on the island. Visit the sites below for more information and reservations.

Tours - A variety of tour types are available. Choose a narrated Trolley Tour, the excitement of a kayak tour of area waters, birding tours, and guided dolphin or sunset boating tours.

Boating and Fishing
St. Simons Island offers miles of winding tidal creeks and rivers. The area is renowned for deep sea, bay and inshore fishing and boating.

The Emerald Princess Casino & Dinner Cruise

Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge
The Great Okefenokee Swamp, one of America’s most fascinating natural areas, is the largest Swamp in North America. "Okefenokee" what Seminoles called "Land of Trembling Earth" is approximately 700 square miles and is located just a short ride from the Resort.

Plan a fun-filled day with relaxing laps around Turtle Creek or high speed thrills down Pirate's Passage. Anything you choose to do will be a splashtacular good time!

Jekyll Island State Park
The islands wildlife and beaches offer nature lovers a great escape.
