Oceanfront Rooms: Historic Building

We stay at the King & Prince once a year - sometimes twice - and love the feel of the historic oceanfront building, especially the rooms with a balcony overlooking the surf. With special winter weekend rates, we took advantage of an opportunity to get away to a favorite locale. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing! The staff members were friendly and helpful...We didn't eat at the hotel (other than the little coffee kiosk in the lobby) but rather took advantage of several great seafood choices on the island. Had great massages in the Royal Treatment Cottage. Another relaxing stay at a Georgia gem!

We just got back from a week at the King and Prince Resort. We stayed in the historic building with an ocean front room. From our room we could see the ocean and were just steps from the great pools. The beach at this resort is fantastic as well. At low tide you can see all sorts of things from starfish, crabs, shells, sand dollars, etc. We even found three horseshoe crabs in the tide pools at low tide. We will definitely vacation here again.

I stayed at this resort for a conference the first week of November. I had an oceanfront room in the main building and it was very clean, comfortable, & had an amazing view of the ocean. We had meetings for 3 days and every meeting room we utilized was set to perfection. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a steak dinner during our stay that was one of the best New York Strip Steaks I have ever ate and was cooked to perfection. I'm extremely picky with steaks so I was very impressed to say the least. The beach is very beautiful where this resort is located and well maintained. I highly recommend this resort for a relaxing vacation.

When we made our reservation, we talked to Ben. We told him we wanted a room with a balcony facing the beach. We have been there before and thought we would like to be in the building near the pool. However, when we mentioned we were coming to enjoy a quiet, relaxing , much needed time of rest, Ben suggested a room in the historic building.
We were in room #212, and it was WONDERFUL. When we come again, we would want to be in one of those room. Thank you Ben.
