We may be called a Beach and Golf Resort, but you’ll find plenty more here to play. Try fishing, boating, sailing, tennis, biking and running trails, skeet-shooting, or horseback riding. Golf at the Resort’s award-winning King and Prince Golf Course (Course map). The celebrated character of this award-winning course is the extraordinary beauty that unfolds in harmony with the challenges of one of coastal Georgia's great courses. The King and Prince golf course is located on the quiet northern end of St. Simons Island, approximately 12 miles from The King and Prince Resort.
Mr. Pride Evans offers private and group lessons on the resort's har-tru tennis courts. Pride is a seasoned tennis professional with over 25 years of teaching and instructional experience. Lessons are available for private guests, groups, team coaching, getaways, and corporate outings. For more information on tennis lessons contact Pride.
The resort offers guests to The King and Prince an on-site complimentary fitness facility. The fitness facility is equipped with three Treadmills, two Ellipticals, exercise balls, and free weights. Located near the resort tennis courts, the facility is open for use from 5am to 10 pm. Please contact us for more information.
Located conveniently on the beach in front of the hotel, they rent Chairs, Umbrellas, Sailboats, Banana Bikes, and Kayaks.
A paved network of winding bike paths is a great way to get to most anywhere on St. Simons Island. These paths are also designed for walking and jogging. Join the Southeast Adventure Outfitters as you discover the many rivers, creeks, and marshes kayaking the waters around St. Simons and Sea Islands and the Brunswick area. They teach the skills needed to safely enjoy the sport as you watch the abundant wildlife in the marshes and rivers and on the beaches.
There's plenty to do for the entire family at Neptune Park. Cool off in the Fun Zone Pool, which is open daily throughout the summer until September 18th. For the young ones, there is a playground free of charge. The oceanfront park features picnic tables under stately oak trees, benches for relaxing by the sea, a fishing pier, and a bandstand where events are held throughout the year. The park design has a variety of elements that are challenging for intermediate skaters, but easy enough to help novice skaters develop their skateboarding skills. The park includes two 3-foot quarter pipes, two 5-foot quarter pipes, two 2-foot bank ramps with flat decks and round grind rail, one square grind rail, one manual pad, one skate bench, and two 3-foot half pipes. The park is located at 1219 Demere Road, near the intersection of Demere and Arnold Roads, on St. Simons Island. The park is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no charge for admission. The Resort may arrange lessons for guests at a local private shooting school. The school specializes in skeet, trap, and five-stand sporting clays. A ten-station sporting clays course is available.
The Resort may arrange trail rides for guests at a local private equestrian center. The center offers beach rides, natural history rides, and wooded trail rides
Travel local waters for an up-close look at beautiful dolphins and other marine wildlife, backed by picturesque sunsets. Charter a boat for some nearshore or offshore fishing. Tours leave from the Morningstar Marina on St. Simons. Click here for more information.
Traveling through the scenic Marshes of Glynn south of St. Simons Sound, you will see a plethora of wildlife, including dolphins, seagulls, and pelicans.
