The Island Players - The Island Players is a community theatre located in the Casino Building at the Pier Village. They offer four main stage productions each year and a youth workshop in the summer. The next show for the 2011/2012 season will be the musical, The 1940's Radio Hour. The performance dates are May 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 & 26 at 8:00PM and May 13, 20 & 27 at 3:00PM. The Coastal Symphony of Georgia- Four concerts throughout the year. All concerts start are on Mondays at 8 PM and are at the Glynn Academy Memorial Auditorium. The last concert of the season is April 30.

Rhythm on the River- An outdoor concert series in downtown Brunswick, Georgia. Sundays from 6-8 PM at Queens Square on the corner or Newcastle & Mansfield Streets. Bring the whole family, chairs or blankets and a picnic! 2012 Season dates are March 18 featuring Back Beat Boulevard, April 22 featuring The Traveling Riverside Band with Josh Kirkland, May 20 featuring The Wharfratz, September 23 featuring Defunk, and October 21 featuring O.S.K.A.R. Georgia Artists with Disabilities- May 10 - May 26. Annual traveling exhibit of award-winning work from throughout the state. Thu-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-2pm. Historic Ritz Theatre.
Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Hollybourne Cottage- Saturdays, May 5-26. In celebration of Historic Preservation Month the Jekyll Island Museum will be giving a behind-the-scene tour of Hollybourne Cottage, the only Jekyll Cottage yet to be restored. Every Saturday at 10am during the month of May.
Plein Air in the Garden Workshop- May 17th to 19th. Develop oil painting skills through painting at variety of private and public gardens. The workshop is led by Laura Daniel. Each session will include a demo and a critique.

Jekyll Island Turtle Crawl & Nest Fest- May 18-19. A USAT Sanctioned Olympic and Sprint Distance Triathlon produced by DRC Sports and 5K Fun Run produced by Milestone Race Authority. Athletes and their guests can also enjoy a Pre-race Pasta Dinner and Student Art Auction at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center the Friday night before the big race from 6:30-8pm. Events culminate with the Saturday afternoon release of a rehabilitated sea turtle from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Events benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island. (877) 453-5955.

Jazz in the Park- Each summer Golden Isles Arts and Humanities brings five great concerts by the best local and regional jazz musicians. All concerts are from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Neptune Park by the lighthouse on St. Simons Island. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and free for kids under 6. Performers and dates are: May 27- Phil Morrison Trio featuring Michael Hulett, June 17-Julie Wilde and the Bohemian Dream Band, July 29- Terry "Doc" Handy, August 26- Just Jazz Quartet, September 16- Sam Rodriquez Latin Jazz. Robert Sapp Baseball Camp - June 4 - 8, 9am to 3pm daily, Mallory Park. Boys ages 7 to 14. Campers will compete in games, learn sportsmanship, develop better work habits, and improve social skills. They will also have FUN! Click here for information.
St. Simons Island 4th of July Celebration- On July 3 and 4 enjoy the Annual Sunshine Festival Arts & Crafts Show at Postell Park in Pier Village on St. Simons Island, Georgia. The annual fireworks display begins later in the evening of July 4th at about 9:00 pm at Neptune Park in Pier Village. Bring your lounge chairs, towels and plan to be their early to find parking.
Golden Isles Kingfish Classic- August 23-25. Usually attracting over 100 boats each year, this is an annual tournament where the biggest fish takes the top prize. Spectators can come to the weigh-in at Gascoigne Bluff.
